Trying Japanese hair dye

Sorry you guys, I want to update my blog every day without fail! But sometimes life gets in the way, and I haven’t figured out how to deal with that yet.

My eye started hurting really bad the day before yesterday. Actually, it happened while I was sleeping.

I use a special kind of contacts that you put in and leave in for a month. I love it because I never have to think about them, and aside from the times that they get dried out due to the weather, or I accidentally get something in my eyes, I feel like I’m a normal person! 🙂 Even though I’ve worn glasses since I was 10 and contacts since I was 18, I’ve never liked them. Glasses in particular make me feel like I haven’t gotten ready– like I’m grungy and kinda dirty from not showering yet, and lounging around in my pajamas. I hear that a lot of people like this, but while I of course love being comfortable, I can’t stand being in a state where I don’t feel comfortable going outside in a moment’s notice. Maybe it’s OCD, lol…

Anyways, to make a long story short, something got in my eye and while I was sleeping my contact irritated it, and I woke up with a really swollen, painful eye! What a rotten start to a day! I’m sure you know how that feels. ^^;;;;;;;;

I rested for a day in the hope that it would get better (took out my contact in that eye, of course!), but it didn’t and so yesterday went to the optometrist. It’s nothing serious, but seems that it’ll take a week to heal or so, so I tried not to use the computer yesterday either.

It’s still sore today, but a lot better, so I decided to get back to work (and blogging!) 🙂 So here I am!

Well, anyways… 🙂 Most people don’t know it, but I dye my hair every month (or two weeks if I can find the time/money). I do it myself, because the salon is far too expensive at the moment. I’m actually dying it a really close color to my natural color (I’m a brunette), but a few years ago I got the bright idea that I would look awesome as a blonde and bleached it all!

(I was wrong, by the way) I went right out and have been dyeing it various colors ever since. Red/orange used to be my color of choice, but last year I discovered the right shade of dark brown, thought that I looked much better this way, and have been keeping it that shade ever since!

Since my hair doesn’t hold a color, it fades pretty quickly into a reddish tint, which is kind of annoying. But oh well! Such as the complications of being stupid just that one time. LOL

Wanna see my hair dye?

This kind!

It’s from a brand called “Beauty Labo”. This one in particular is a line that came out earlier this year, where the dye foams up as you shake it. Then you put the foam onto your hair, in the same way that you normally would when you dye your own hair.

I like this kind because it doesn’t make as much of a mess… although I do usually manage to get it on something important somewhere along the way, lol.

As you can see, if you’re familiar with normal home hair-dye kits, it’s pretty much the same thing.

The instructions are in Japanese, but it’s pretty simple!

There are even pictures…

Just mix the liquid and the powder together, and shake it up!

Be careful though! THe lid’s never fallen off on me, but you never know!

What color did it turn out?? Hmmmm… 🙂

Sorry for not posting for a few days, I really am! I’ve gotta come up with a solution for when “things happen”, I really do!

Ganbarimasu!! (^o^)/ (Now, back to drawing! I’ll post some art soon… I hope! That’s the goal at least!)
