On to La Push, home of the werewolves!
I promised a tour of La Push to go with my Forks Twilight tour, didn’t I? 😀 Ayooah!! (Wait, wrong book series!) Well, I won’t lie; I was always on Team Edward. The whole romance-with-Jacob thing made me almost as angry as the fact that Edward abandoned the person that he loved the most. (Trivia: I get incredibly overreactive when it comes to books) To me, true love is selfish and stupid, and more than anything, it is something that you never let go of, regardless of the outcome. So, yes, Edward was a bonehead. But be that as it is, you still don’t hit on a taken lady, and…

Touring Forks, Washington, the setting for Twilight!
If you like sexy-ish teen vampire literature, and even if you don’t, you might know that the Twilight series (yeah, that famous one!) is set in Forks, Washington. I both love and love to make fun of the books, so judge me as you will. After all, I was born in Olympia, WA, which is down the road from Forks, and spent my college years in Phoenix, the other setting of the Twilight books. So Twilight holds a weird sort of personal connection with me. Plus, I love books with sexual tension but not actual sex (you know the feeling, girls!), so until the last book I was pretty enthralled.…

Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London p4
The is the last part of my photo tour of the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour. I should say, “The Studio Tour Of Awesome.” My tour inside of Hall A was over with the Ministry of Magic, but there was still much fun to come! We were lucky that the weather was sunny, because between Hall A and B was an outdoor showcase, and it was unmissable!!! Even if due to the fact that you could freely walk around everywhere, it was much harder to get pictures without muggles in them. Please bear with me! 😀 It was a very, very cold afternoon in October. I would LOVE to…

Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London p3
The is the continuation of my photo tour of the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour. I should say, “The Studio Tour Of Awesome.” I was already in complete bliss from the beginning of the tour, and I wasn’t even half done! This part contains my favorite set from the display… you know that I love detail, so can you guess what it was? It’s not necessarily the one on the right here! 😀 More photos inside! —-> (587 geeks have read this)

Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London p2
I not only want, I really need to go back to London right now, just to go back to this! The is the continuation of part 1 of my photo tour of the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour. I should say, “The Studio Tour Of Awesome.” I was in awe. I want to go back. I just… I just really wish that I could go all of the time, AND that there were more things like this out there! Not the small traveling series, but ones that make the effort, put in the money to really immerse you in the world and make you feel like you were there. Does…

TheWarner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London (p1)
Here it is: The time when I lay it all bare! The reasons that I went to London on were: 1. Destination: Star Trek London (A convention that sounded cool, but was a let down). 2. The Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio tour (Blew my mind!). 3. Sightseeing/Vacation/Recharge&Recovery from my relationship went bad. Today, I’m talking about #2, of course! In fact, I took SO MANY pictures at the Harry Potter studio tour that I can’t cover it all in one post. Also, if we are talking about let downs, this was NOT one of them. In fact, the tour blew my mind away. This is what ALL big franchises…

Platform 9¾
I like Harry Potter a lot. I also went to London. So, it’s no surprise that I turned up at King’s Cross station looking for Platform 9¾! Right? I hope that it’s not, anyway! My guidebook, which was totally awesome, did not mention that there is a real (display) Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross train station, but maybe that’s because it is too new. The Eyewitness DK guidebook series is seriously awesome otherwise though, and I cannot recommend it more! Anyways, Miho and I started out the next day by trekking off to King’s Cross Station, where the action is! I figured that I would just sort of know where…

Umezu Kazuo-sensei and the Umezz house!
I will never get tired of talking about the super-famous manga artist Umezu Kazuo, and his famous house. Seriously, when he built a red-and-white striped house in Kichijoji a few years ago, there was a huge stir. Helicopters flew over, reporting on the construction, and how the neighbors were upset to see “such an eyesore.” I don’t know. I think it looks cool, don’t you? (2,677 geeks have read this)

Okinawa a-go-go 5
The sun dawned bright and early on our last sweltering day in Okinawa! I was exhausted, but in no way did I want to leave! How could anyone want to leave somewhere so warm, and so beautiful?! On the roster for the last day was a bit of sightseeing, a bit of culture, and a cave! (369 geeks have read this)

Make and enjoy onigiri in three easy steps! :)
I have to say, the Japanese have got it down when it comes to traditional food. White rice may not be the most nutritious thing out there, but I would venture a guess that it’s at least a tad bit better than, say, fried chicken? (Which by the way, is also eaten widely by old people in Japan, though slightly different than the abroad version.) So, let’s say that onigiri is marginally good for you. ^-^ It’s also really filling! It can also be made in practically every flavor you could ever imagine.. Me, I would like a little bit of chocolate and some strawberries in my onigiri, thankyouverymuch! (^o^)/…
