How to Fly Overseas With Your Cats
Cats. Cats are the best, and I can’t seem to settle down in any one place for too long, so my cats (possibly to their dismay) have had to move around with my silly butt. I don’t own a boat that can cross the Pacific Ocean, so that means taking them on a plane. BUT! While it’s no fun for anyone, it’s not really as hard as you think! Really really! Update-o-matic!
I want to catch you all up, so that I can move on and get over this slump… I mean, this depression. It has hit me really, really hard the first part of this year, but I’m DETERMINED to get over it. You should see my face. It’s scary. In January, my bike was stolen. So, I had to buy a new bike, but it is just GORGEOUS and has speeds, and I keep it inside now so as to prevent the Locke Lamoras of the world from appropriating it. Locke is cool, but I am not rich. I get a lot of compliments on it, so maybe I should thank whatever crummy…

Meet Luna!
When I think about writing in my blog (which is every day), I begin by thinking about how little has changed and how there is little to write about… But as my thoughts wander, I realize that a lot of things have changed, actually, and I have a lot to write about. Like, a lot. A LOT. Oh gosh, a LOT. Then, I start to tally up all of the things that I want to write about, and I start to feel a little overwhelmed, and I see a huge, long, meandering blog post forming in my head that nobody will read all the way through, and I start to fret. WHERE DO…

Disembarking the plane and Honolulu’s Animal Quarantine Office
My heart was racing now.. I was there. I was in Hawaii! Was this really happening? Surely not. But there I was! “Anyone with pets on the cabin, please see the flight attendants before you exit the plane,” the pilot announced over the intercom. I looked at the booklet in back of the seat in front of me while people around me got their things and filed out. I’d never heard this announcement before, probably because I’d never before happened to be on a plane that had a pet in the cabin somewhere. This announcement was just for me, wasn’t it. According to the card, I was going to be…

Happy Birthday, Sansa!!!!!!!!!!
I realize that today is April Fool’s day, but this is no joke! It’s beautiful, darling, sweet, sweet, adorable little Sansa’s 2nd birthday!!!! I can’t believe that we’ve been together almost 2 years.. When Sansa came into my life, in August 2012, she was a few months old, and I was living alone in the very-very-suburbs of Japan. Raccoons and life
RACCOONS!!!!! Raccoons came to “our” door! (I don’t really consider this place my home, but I am staying here until I get on over to Hawaii. Can’t beat free!) Okay, it was a while back, before it snowed, but they were there and so freaking cute, playing around the wood pile. Everyone hated them except for me. I love those little rascals. :3 And, I dunno, but I sorta feel happier just remembering them and the pictures that I took. They’re so cute and lovable, and I know that a lot of people say that they’re annoying pests, but this was my first time ever seeing raccoons outside of the…

Caterlude! 10 photos of little!Sansa =(^.^)=
I have spent the last week, all day every day, trying to learn how to get a mailing list to work with my website, and… ARGH!!!!! This is enough, for now. I won’t have a mailing list just yet.. I thought that it would be nice to be able to let people know through email when my blog had been updated, and when I was doing something really cool, like if there were any developments in my career, or my manga goes on sale. I’ll put it aside for the moment, and concentrate on the art side of things. (I’m just not sure how to get the word out. Any…

And so we prepare to depart Japan’s Cat Island..
What a journey! We had traveled through tsunami-ravaged former neighborhoods in order to reach the ferry docks, froze as the ferry whipped through gloomy waters, and arrived on the lush, cat-filled Tashirojima. From there, T and I had sought out cats, funky turtles, cool signs and billboards, and finally, the coolest cat-shaped hotels EVER. But there were still a few sights left to see, and we whipped off, determined to get an eyeful before we had to catch a ferry (that may not even arrive) back! So, off we went! Manga Island on Cat Island! :)
Dadadadaaaaaaaa! We had finally arrived at the best part of cat island.. the amazing amusing cat houses! This part of Cat Island si called “manga island,” even though it’s really just a hill on top of the same island that we’d been on the whole time. But aren’t they cool?! You can also stay in the houses during certain parts of the year. I think that it would be worth it to make the trip back just to stay in one of them. (=^.^=) So of course I took a lot of pictures! Meow meow Island! (Tashirojima, part 3!)
Whew! Wow.. I think that I’ve recovered enough to continue on. Sweet kitties that don’t have homes really can get to me (as you can imagine, those commercials where someone finally gets in touch with their long-lost family member have me completely destroy me). There were a lot of cats in Tashirojima, but that’s not all that there were.. there was also a lot of history. A lot of neat architecture. Actually, some really, really neat architecture that will be coming up soon! It was overall a really neat place. I wouldn’t mind coming back sometime, to stay in some of that really neat architecture that I mentioned.. (you’ll see!)…
