The ferry boat from Asakusa to Odaiba

I wish that I had thought to take better pictures of the whole process to show everyone, but I kind of blacked it out. (I’ve just been so busy lately!) But anyways, last weekend, my good girl friends invited me out to ride the ferry that goes from Asakusa to Odaiba.

Of course my friends are the biggest draw, but I’ve never ridden a ferry in Japan before, so that was huge too! *^^*

Right in front of the ferry loading zone is the new trio, so to speak:
Tokyo Sky Tree (the new Tokyo Tower, it’s not open to the public yet)
The Asahi brewery headquarters. If you look closely, it looks like beer, right? Golden with a head of foam! (It was designed that way XD)
The Golden Poo. Err, the Golden Flame. Yeah.. you be the judge. XD Only Asahi knows what it really is!

We boarded the boat in a rush, so I didn’t have any time to take pictures of it! D’oh! It wasn’t particularily unusual, in any case. It cost about 1,500 yen (About $15) to make the 1-hour ride from Asakusa to Odaiba, which is a man-made island in Tokyo Bay.

I did take lovely pictures of the scenery, though. Sit back any enjoy! *^^*

The sun was starting to set..

I added this lens flare later… tacky, or not?

I thought this lone fisherman made a great subject. I wish I had a better zoom lens, though! :O

This was NOT out boat… this was the futuristic Darth Boat following ours!

And so, we landed!!! To be continued in the next post! *^^*

Comments???? \(^o^)/
